The beta launch of Gogo Inflight Internet service on Virgin America and; |
The sneak peek flight aboard a new Virgin America Airbus A320 featured TV and Internet celebrities, a First Class Wi-Fi lounge outfitted with HP UltraPortable laptops, and plenty of YouTube-worthy moments. Flight guests and specially invited Elevate members had the chance to test out surfing at 35,000 feet via Gogo Wi-Fi service. Virgin America is rolling out Gogo Inflight Internet to its planes starting in late November and will be the first US carrier to offer in-flight Wi-Fi truly fleet-wide by spring of 2009.
As the official travel sponsor of YouTube Live, Virgin America was thrilled to fly guests headed to the show and open our planes to YouTube celebs to shoot self-directed videos, including this video by "Chocolate Rain" singer Tay Zonday. |
